Many artists have times in their careers where they paint with colors that reflect how they might be feeling, or what is happening in the world. One particular color, BLUE, has been used by many artists to express a period of work with specific meaning to them. Two of my favorite artistsMARC CHAGALL andFRANZ MARC created many works with an emphasis on the color blue. (Click on their names to read more about these two master artists!)
Scroll down to view two of these "blue" works and ask yourself:
"What do I see?"
"How does this work make me feel?"
Then, create your own "blue themed" artwork.
Use paper of any kind (again, backs of cereal boxes work perfectly fine!, old wrapping paper too!)
Use pen, marker or paint
Art work can be as small or big as you like
Think about a time when blue was part of your world or something that you saw that you will always remember and recreate that vision!
